The Scurry County Local Government Corporation (LGC) board granted its president, Dr. Eddie Bland, the authority to sign purchase and sale agreements with EagleRidge Energy II, LLC, Thursday.
Members of the board did not discuss the specifics of the deal because they are bound by non-disclosure agreements.
According to its website, Eagle Ridge Energy is a Dallas-based company focused in the Barnett Shale, engaged in exploration and production of onshore natural gas properties.
The board also reaffirmed Bland as president, Merle Taylor as vice-president and Ella Ray Helms as secretary.
