Twenty-one Christmas trees decorated by individuals or groups will highlight this year’s Magic of Christmas.
Little Mr. and Miss Christmas will also be named from among 14 entries during the third annual events, which will be held from 6-8 p.m. Friday at the Scurry County Museum.
The winning children will be announced at 7 p.m. Each winner will receive a crown, sash, trophy and have their picture taken with Santa and Mrs. Claus.
The winners will be determined by which entrant raises the most money through $1 votes. Voting has been extended through Thursday.
According to museum Director Daniel Schlegel Jr., “All of the trees are different and unique. People are really getting creative and I am enjoying that. The decorating is getting better and better.”
Santa Claus will be available to have his photo taken and Mrs. Claus will read stories to children.
A variety of Christmas goodies will be served. The museum will also hold drawings for a variety of prizes beginning at 6:30 p.m. Winners do not have to be present.
Admission is $10 for adults and $5 for children. Tickets may be purchased at the door.
