More than 35 exhibitors to be at CMH health fair

More than 35 exhibitors will be on hand for Saturday’s health fair at Cogdell Memorial Hospital.
There is no admission for the fair, which will be held from 8-11 a.m. in hospital’s main lobby.
Free screenings that will be available are blood typing, oxygen saturation readings, BMI, body fat percentage, target heart rate for exercise, blood pressure, balance, blood sugar and pulmonary function.
Exhibitors from the hospital will be the Cogdell Family Clinic, emergency department, day surgery, hospital services, respiratory, lab and radiology, home health and hospice, specialty clinic, Cogdell Memorial Hospital Foundation, orthopedic clinic and obstetrics.
Other agencies scheduled to have a booth are the Children’s Hospital of Dallas’ TeleNICU program, Wentz Orthodontics, Snyder Fire Department, Native Air Texas, Scurry County EMS, Air Evac Lifeteam, Scurry County Health Unit, Life Gift, Scurry County Senior Citizens Center, Snyder Healthcare Center, Maximus, Superior Health Plan, Snyder Oaks Care Center, Kindred at Home, Divine Health Care, Snyder Lions Club, Comfort Keepers, Hoyt Place, United Supermarkets Pharmacy, Kindred Hospice, Scenic Mountain Medical Center, Fairfield Inn, Hendrick Medical Supply, St. Joseph’s Home Health, Snyder Chamber of Commerce and Snyder Smiles and More.
A vaccination station will also be available.
The flu vaccine will be administered in the clinic. There is no co-pay for Medicare, Medicaid and most private insurance companies. The cost will be $35 for private pay.
United Supermarkets Pharmacy will provide the shingles and pneumonia vaccine. The cost is $95.99 for the Pneumovax 23 vaccine, $196.96 for the Prevnar 13 vaccine and $231 for the shingles vaccine.
