No damage reported as wind gusts top 48 mph

No reports of damage were reported this weekend when wind gusts were recorded as high as 48 miles per hour (mph) in Scurry County.
According to the National Weather Service, wind gusts of 48 mph were reported at 4:35 p.m. and 41 mph at 4:55 p.m. Saturday.
On Sunday, the wind gusts topped 40 mph four different times — at 1:35 a.m. (44 mph) 1:55 a.m. (40 mph), at 2:15 a.m. (41 mph) and 5:15 a.m. (40 mph).
The weather service is forecasting wind gusts of at least 40 mph on Tuesday. The winds will be coming out of the west at 15 to 20 mph, but could increase to 25 to 30 mph in the afternoon.
During the evening, the weather service forecast states winds will be 10 to 15 mph.
