• Arrests
A 31-year-old male was arrested in the 3800 block of Muriel Drive at 9:58 a.m. Saturday for possession of a dangerous drug and on municipal court warrants for public intoxication and possession of drug paraphernalia.
A 19-year-old male was arrested in the 4500 block of El Paso Ave. at 10:21 p.m. Saturday on a warrant for speeding.
At 5:33 p.m. Sunday, a 31-year-old female was arrested in the 2600 block of Ave. U on a Pct. 1 Justice of the Peace warrant for bail-jumping and failure to appear.
• Possible gunshots
At 10:19 p.m. Saturday, gunshots were heard in the 100 block of Browning Street. Snyder police investigated and found five shell casings in the area.
• Theft
A cooler was reported stolen from Gebo’s at 9:04 a.m. Saturday. The suspect was seen leaving on foot toward Dollar General. The cooler was recovered.
• Criminal mischief
At 2:38 p.m. Saturday, a vehicle was keyed on the Walmart Supercenter parking lot.
A vehicle was keyed in the 1200 block of 29th Street at 2:20 p.m. Sunday.
• Accidents
A one-vehicle accident was reported on Hwy. 208 between Snyder and Dunn at 10:20 a.m. Saturday. No injuries were reported.
A vehicle hit a deer on U.S. Hwy. 84, three miles north of Huffman Ave., at 11:30 a.m. Sunday.
• Fires
Controlled burns were called in at 9:27 a.m. Saturday from the 3600 block of FM 1673, at 1:42 p.m. Saturday from the intersection of Ave. L and Andress Ave., at 3:30 p.m. Saturday from U.S. Hwy. 180 and at 5:58 p.m. Saturday from the 2600 block of Ave. U.
• Animal concerns
Two horses were loose in the 3700 block of U.S. Hwy. 180 at 7:29 a.m. Saturday.
A cow was loose in the 4500 block of Pleasant Hill Road at 8:24 a.m. Saturday.
At 9:25 a.m. Saturday, a dog was at-large on a parking lot at Western Texas College.
A cow was loose at the intersection of U.S. Hwy. 180 and CR 253 at 10:40 a.m. Saturday.
At 6:15 p.m. Sunday, two cows were loose on FM 1611.
At 10:56 p.m. Sunday, at least 20 cows were loose on CR 466.
• Loud music
Loud music was reported at 9:29 p.m. Saturday from the 900 block of Ave. L and at 1:03 p.m. Sunday from the intersection of Ave. G and 28th Street.
• Weekend blotter notes
Scurry County EMS responded to 10 medical calls.
Ten non-accident, traffic-related calls were received.
Eight alarms were reported.
One close patrol was requested.
Two welfare checks were requested.
Twelve 911 hang-up calls were received.
Law enforcement responded to six civil issues.
