Snyder Chamber of Commerce officials rescheduled the lighted Christmas for 6:30 p.m. Saturday.
The parade was cancelled on Saturday due to inclement weather.
Events Coordinator Josh Ortegon said the schedule and activities will remain the same, although they are awaiting confirmation from Snyder Primary School’s third grade choir that students will perform.
He said although the Christmas tree’s lights in the downtown plaza have been lit, there will be a relighting ceremony at 7:30 p.m.
“We will have a tree relighting to keep the tradition going,” Ortegon said.
Activities in the downtown area are scheduled to begin at 5:30 p.m.
Kendallie’s Dance and Performing Arts students will perform at 5:30 p.m. in the downtown plaza. Vendors will open at 6 p.m.
If the choir performs, it will begin at 6 p.m. on the north courthouse steps.
Christmas parade entries will begin lining up at 5:30 p.m. at the Snyder Shopping Center, located in the 3500 block of College Ave.
The parade will begin at 6:30 p.m. and travel toward the downtown area and around the square.
After the parade, Santa Claus is scheduled to land by helicopter, weather permitting, on the First Baptist Church parking lot and join the tree lighting ceremony.
Ortegon said the chamber will accept new entries for the parade through Saturday.
The top three floats will receive a cash award.
