Patterson reports increase in operating rigs

Patterson-UTI Energy, Inc., reported an increase in the number of average drilling rigs in September.
During the month, the company reported it had an average of 62 drilling rigs operating in the U.S. and two in Canada. In August, the company had an average of 60 rigs operating in the U.S. and two in Canada.
In September 2015, Patterson averaged 99 rigs operating in the U.S. and four in Canada.
During the third quarter of 2016, Patterson averaged 60 rigs operating in the U.S. and two in Canada. During the third quarter of 2015, the company averaged 105 rigs operating in the U.S. and four in Canada.
