Snyder Primary School hosted Christmas Around the World Family Night Tuesday.
Parents had the opportunity to tour the school and see what their children are studying. Students and teachers decorated hallways and held activities according to Christmas traditions celebrated in different countries.
Principal Canita Rhodes said family nights have been very successful.
“It is encouraging to see the number of families that are coming to school to support their child’s education,” Rhodes said. “It takes everyone working together to ensure the success of our students.”
The country themes were Christmas in Mexico, 12 days of Australian Christmas as well as Italian, German and American traditions.
Activities included singing and dancing, listening to stories being read, watching short Christmas movie clips, making arts and crafts, visiting Santa Claus and tasting drinks and treats from various countries.
Rhodes said that doing well in school becomes more important to students when parents go to the school and participate in campus activities. Snyder Primary School hosts family night each six weeks.
