Ritz Community Theatre plans six productions during 2019-20 season

The Ritz Community Theatre’s 2019-20 season will feature six different productions directed by local residents.
Season tickets are now available for $50 through the Ritz website, www.ritzcommunitytheatre.org.
The season will begin later this month with The Smell of the Kill. The comedy will be staged at 7 p.m. Aug. 22-24 and 2 p.m. Aug. 25. Kathleen Reed will direct the play.
Chad Goebel will direct the October production of Murder in the Magnolias. The southern-fried comedy is scheduled to premier Oct. 3 and will continue Oct. 5-6, Oct. 10 and Oct. 12-13.
Tuesday Troupe participants will stage The Best Christmas Pageant Ever Dec. 6-8 and Dec. 13-15. Reed and Goebel will lead the Tuesday Troupe sessions, which begin Aug. 20. The cost is $20 per week and parents may pay prior to each session.
Suite Surrender, which will be directed by Stacy Haley, will take the Ritz stage Feb. 14-16 and Feb. 21-23. Glenn Burns will direct Ripcord, which is being planned for April 10-12 and April 17-19.
The final production of the season will be the spring Tuesday Troupe showcase, Game of Tiaras. It will be staged June 4-7.
