• Arrests
A 60-year-old male was arrested at the Scurry County Courthouse at 12:02 p.m. Thursday on a warrant for theft of property worth more than $100, but less than $750.
At 8 p.m. Thursday, a 26-year-old male was arrested in the 3600 block of Ave. U on a warrant for failure to signal with a turn indicator.
• Theft
Groceries were reported stolen from Walmart Supercenter at 5:51 p.m. Thursday.
• Accident
A two-vehicle accident was reported in front of Sonic Drive-In at 12:09 p.m. Thursday.
• Fire
A controlled burn was called in at 8:46 a.m. Thursday from the Covered S Ranch.
• Scam call
A scam call was reported in the 1800 block of Chambers Street at 2:28 p.m. Thursday.
• Animal concerns
At 7:22 p.m. Thursday, a cow was loose at the intersection of Hwy. 208 and CR 4156.
Several cows were loose on CR 254 at 8:53 p.m. Thursday.
• Thursday blotter notes
Scurry County EMS responded to four medical calls.
One non-accident, traffic-related call was received.
Three close patrols were requested.
Seven 911 hang-up calls were received.
Law enforcement responded to three civil issues.
