Three incumbents retain seats on Hermleigh school board

The three incumbents and one newcomer were elected to the Hermleigh ISD board of trustees Tuesday night.
The three incumbents received the most votes. Joe Taylor received 127 votes, Roy Gill received 112 votes and Larry Don Nachlinger received 91. David Digby received 75 votes, earning him the fourth seat. Digby received one more vote than Justin White.
Michael Hildebrand finished with 65 votes, Jerry Smith with 54, Miranda Hancock with 40 and John Harty with 24.
The board of trustees will meet Nov. 17 to canvas the returns and swear in the new board members.
