The tiebreaker was used to determine the top three places in last week’s Snyder Daily News football contest.
Jeff Mason and Eddie Eicke, both of Snyder, picked 13 of the 19 games correctly. Mason won the first-place prize for being the closest to the total points scored in the Snyder-Fort Stockton game. The two teams combined to score 40 points and Mason predicted 46 points to win the $50 first-place prize. Eicke predicted 54 points and will receive $25 for finishing in second place.
Three people picked 12 games correctly last week. Vera Stansell, of Hermleigh, was the closest with 64 points and will receive $15 for finishing third.
Honorable mention goes to Kevin Chaffin, of Snyder, and Brazos Nachlinger, of Hermleigh.
The Ira-Ropes game did not count in the contest results because the game was canceled.
The winners will be mailed their checks. This week’s contest is on Page 10 in today’s edition.
