Two people are headed to prison after hearings in District Judge Ernie B. Armstrong’s courtroom recently.

Ambery Nichole Andruss, 29, of Stockdale, was adjudicated guilty and had her probation revoked on a state jail felony possession of a controlled substance conviction.

She will now serve her original 2-year sentence.

Her probation was revoked after she failed to meet with her probation officer between April and July 2018 and failed to make her monthly payments for probation fees, court costs, attorney fees and restitution during that same period.

She also failed to appear at a probation performance review in June 2018.

The original sentence stemmed from a May 3, 2017 incident in which Andruss was found in possession of less than a gram of methamphetamine.

She was also given a 5-year sentence after entering a plea agreement on a third degree felony charge of bail jumping and failure to appear. The two sentences will be served concurrently.

On that charge she was also ordered to pay $290 in court costs and $1,039 in reimbursement fees.

According to court documents, Andruss failed to appear at a court hearing in June 2019.

Cody Loy Douglas, 44, of Snyder, will serve his original 5-year sentence after his probation on a third degree felony charge of possession of a controlled substance was revoked.

According to court documents, his probation was revoked after he failed to meet with his probation officer several times between February and June 2019, and failed to make his monthly payments for probation fees, court costs, attorney fees and restitution during that same period.

The original charge stemmed from a December 2017 incident during which he was found in possession of between one and four grams of methamphetamine.
