This morning, local TxDOT crews were treating frozen roads in Scurry County and across the area.
And while driving conditions were hazardous in Scurry County due to the snow and ice over the weekend, roads here remained open.
That was not the case for areas to the north of Snyder in the South Plains and in the Panhandle.
The Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) reported Sunday afternoon that I-27 was closed between Plainview and Canyon and Hwy. 287 was closed from Childress to Amarillo.
In Terry County U.S. Hwy. 82/380 from Brownfield to Plains, and U.S. Hwy. 385 from Levelland to Brownfield and Hwy. 137 were closed.
Residents can check the status of Texas roads by calling (800) 452-9292.
