Scurry County’s unemployment rate fell by nearly one full percent in December.
The Texas Workforce Commission (TWC) reported an 8.4 percent December unemployment rate for Scurry County. Last month TWC reported a 9.3 unemployment rate. The local unemployment rate reached a high of 12.4 percent in May.
