United Way reaches 45 percent of goal

The Scurry County United Way Lend a Hand campaign has reached 45 percent of its goal.
As of Tuesday afternoon, the campaign has received $54,243 in donations and pledges, United Way  Executive Secretary Peggy Vernon said.
Donations may be dropped off at the Scurry County United Way office, mailed to P.O. Box 1411, Snyder, TX 79550 or made online at www.scurrycountyunitedway.org.
United Way’s eight partner agencies this year are Scurry Community Services, Gateway Family Services, West Texas Children’s Advocacy Center, Buffalo Trail Boy Scouts, Texas-Oklahoma Plains Girl Scouts, Cancer Services Network, Scurry County Food Cupboard and the Snyder Volunteer Fire Department.
