With just over one month left to pledge or donate to the Scurry County United Way Lend a Hand campaign, organizers announced Friday that 56 percent of the goal has been reached.
To date, the campaign has received $67,337 in pledges and donations. The goal this year is to raise $120,000 for the eight partner agencies.
The campaign is scheduled to end Dec. 31.
Donations may be dropped off at the Scurry County United Way office, mailed to P.O. Box 1411, Snyder, TX 79550 or made online at www.scurrycountyunitedway.org.
United Way’s eight partner agencies this year are Scurry Community Services, Gateway Family Services, West Texas Children’s Advocacy Center, Buffalo Trail Boy Scouts, Texas-Oklahoma Plains Girl Scouts, Cancer Services Network, Scurry County Food Cupboard and the Snyder Volunteer Fire Department.
