WTC 50th anniversary Nov. 18

Western Texas College officials have announced plans for the school’s 50th anniversary celebration, which will be held Nov. 18.
Activities will begin at 11 a.m. in the college’s courtyard. 
During the 10th anniversary celebration on Nov. 18, 1979, WTC students, faculty and staff buried a time capsule to be opened during this year’s event.
“We’re very excited to see what’s in it,” said WTC President Dr. Barbara Beebe. “Especially since we don’t know what was put into it in 1979.”
