Snyder boys secure second at Abilene Invitational

Snyder High School’s Christian Escobedo won his third straight race and the Snyder boys finished second at the Abilene Invitational Cross Country Meet Saturday.
Escobedo’s time of 16:14 in the boys’ race earned him first by four seconds.
Michael Jaramillo finished 13th with a time of 17:54 and Jeremiah Rodriguez, Corey Landin and Antonio Martinez all finished in the top 30 out of 100 runners.
For the Snyder girls, Mary Kerr’s time of 13:52 was the eighth best time. Kimberly Cortes was behind her in 16th and Zairah Cabrera and Madison Yescas came in at 31st and 32nd, respectively. As a team, the girls finished fifth.
