Mrs. Billie Marie Canon, 92 of Snyder died on Monday, June 22, 2020, at GoodLife Senior Living Center in Snyder.
Services for Mrs. Canon will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday at Bell-Cypert-Seale Funeral Home with Hospice Chaplain Kinney Robinson officiating. Interment will follow at Hillside Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 6 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, June 24, 2020, at Bell-Cypert-Seale Funeral Home
Mrs. Canon was born on Oct. 25, 1927, in Richland to Joe Oscar and Melissa (Smith) Norman. She married Albert W. Canon on Jan. 17, 1948, in Conroe. They were married 48 years. He preceded her in death on July 2, 1996.
Mrs. Canon worked for J.C. Penney and S&H Green Stamp Store in Snyder for many years. She taught Sunday School for more than 40 years, and was a member of Texas Baptist Church Builders since 1982. Mrs. Canon was also a member of Avenue D Baptist Church in Snyder.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; two brothers, Urban Norman and Joe Norman; three sisters, Katie Massey, Birdie Dukes and Vonabelle Dukes; and one grandson, Ryan Canon.
Survivors include two sons, Norman Canon and wife, Ralphene, of Snyder; Albert "Snuffy" Canon and wife, Tanya, of Pecos; three grandsons, Neal Canon and wife, Lisa, of San Angelo, Cory Minton and wife, Christa, of Aztec, N.M. and Blaine Minton and wife, Kelby, of Snyder; two granddaughters, Allison Rivera and husband, John, of Snyder and Shauna Parkinson of Aztec, N.M.; 10 great-grandchildren; five nieces; 13 nephews; a special nephew and niece, Kyle Munson and Susan Jones; and numerous great-nieces and great-nephews.
