The Snyder Tiger golf team will carry a 29-shot lead into Tuesday’s final round of the District 2-4A golf tournament at the Sammy Baugh Golf Course.
Snyder shot 313 on Thursday at the Shadow Hills Golf Course in Lubbock to increase its lead over Big Spring and Sweetwater.
Big Spring is second at 656 and Sweetwater is third at 679. The Snyder JV team is fourth at 713.
Logan Presley leads the Snyder varsity with a two-round total of 156 and is in fourth place. Jake Leatherwood and Jay Ramos are tied for fifth at 157 while Clayton Galyean is seventh at 159.
Kyle Shrum is ninth with a two-round total of 164 and Will Lavers is 10th at 170. Patrick Rodriguez is 11th at 172.
Devin Bynum is 19th at 185, Jax Weaver is 23rd at 189, Alex Luecke is 27th at 193 and John Gilbert is 29th at 194.
The Lady Tigers are second in the girls’ district tournament after shooting 361 at Shadow Hills Golf Course Thursday.
Snyder (736) trails first place Sweetwater (709) by 27 shots heading into Wednesday’s final round at the Sweetwater Country Club.
Courtney Velasquez has the lowest score for Snyder with 161 and is in third place. Claire Trieger is seventh at 181 while Cylie Velasquez is 11th at 191 and is followed by Laura Ortegon at 194.
Savanna Porter is 15th at 205 and AmyAnn Villaneuva is 16th at 205. Jalia Williams is 18th at 206.
