Hood Parker Jr., 89, of Snyder died Sunday, Feb. 14, 2021 at Covenant Medical Center in Lubbock.
A graveside service will be held Tuesday, Feb. 23, at 2 p.m. at Hillside Memorial Gardens with Pastor Reid Johnson officiating. Visitation will be held Monday, Feb. 22, from 6-7 p.m. at Bell-Cypert-Seale Funeral Home. Arrangements are under the direction of Bell-Cypert-Seale Funeral Home.
Mr. Parker was born Feb. 12, 1932 in Eola to Hood and Lona (Carter) Parker Sr. He married Joliette “Jo” Owens on Feb. 14, 2005 in Abilene. Mr. Parker worked for Chevron for 38 years in production and pipeline. He attended Colonial Hill Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his son Kenneth Parker and his brother James Parker.
He is survived by his wife Joliette “Jo” Parker of Snyder; daughters Pamela Parker Copeland and her husband, Don, of Lubbock, Diane Lane and her husband, Kin Cohen, of Oklahoma City, Okla., Sharon Dorsey and her husband, Steve, of Odessa and Sandra Sandell and her husband, Rick, of Huntsville; sister Frances Parker Page and her husband, Larry, of Charleston, S.C.; grandchildren Michelle Hale and her husband, Darrell, David Copeland and his wife, Shandra, Dr. Daniel Copeland, Braun Dupy, Chad Pickle and his wife, Lisa, Ryan Dupy, Tray Dupy and his wife, Allison, Stephanie Orona and her husband, Martin, Skye Sanford and her husband, Tim, Tiffany McCollum and her husband, Zach, Sarah Paul and her husband, Jared, Austin Dorsey and Charles Dorsey, Jason Cardinal, Whitney Jamison and Dakota Jamison; great-grandchildren Annabel Copeland, Cali Copeland, Maddie Hale Edwards, Taylor Hale, Elizabeth Moore, Riley McCollum, Zoe McCollum, Kimber Paul, Emmarie Paul, Macy Pickle, Ally Pickle, Haley Pickle, Blake Pickle, Harper Dupy, Grayson Dupy and Tripp Saenz Melanie De La Cruz; and many nieces and nephews.
