Lola Martin
1933-2017
Our mom, Lola Wenona Dennington Fair Martin, 83, passed away Thursday, Jan. 5, 2017 in Arlington.
A memorial service for Mrs. Martin was held at 2 p.m. today at West 21st Street Church of Christ in Clovis, N.M. The service was under the direction of Wade Family Funeral Home of Arlington.
At the time of her passing, she was a member of the North Davis Church of Christ in Arlington, where she had lived for the previous two years. Prior to that, she lived with our “Pappy” Roy Martin in Tampa, Fla., prior to his passing in 2014.
She was also preceded in death by one brother, Carrel Dennington, her mother, Alberta Dennington, her father, Joe Dennington, and one granddaughter, Stefani Hurley.
Survivors include two sons, Wayne Fair and his wife, Meg, of Amarillo and Randy Fair and his wife, Linda, of Ava, Mo.; six daughters, Kay Hurley of Arlington, Barbara Eicke and her husband, Arlie, of Snyder, Kathy Talbot and her husband, Mike, of North Richland Hills, Gradeen Tribble and her husband, Terry, of Albuquerque, N.M. and Ruth Hemphill and her husband, Bill, and Carolyn Rilling and her husband, Dave, all of Tampa, Fla.; and last, but not least, her sister-in-law, Murl Dennington of Clovis, N.M. Mom was blessed and survived by 20 grandchildren, 42 great-grandchildren and one great-great-granddaughter.

Christina Petit
1980-2016
Christina Michelle Arnold Pettit, 36, of Texarkana and formerly of Snyder, died Wednesday, Dec. 7, 2016 at Parkland Hospital in Dallas after suffering a massive stroke.
A memorial service for Mrs. Petit will be held from 2-6 p.m. Jan. 28 at London Bleu in Snyder. Pastor Tony Wofford will lead the service from 2-2:30 p.m. There will be an open microphone for all who wish to share stories or say goodbye. A slideshow of pictures of Michelle with family and friends will be shown.
Arrangements were under the direction of Texarkana Funeral Home.
She was preceded in death by one brother, Joshua Zane Arnold; her father, Terry Lynn Arnold; her maternal grandparents, Billy Wayne and Patsy Williams; her paternal grandparents, Dub Arnold and Marietta Jones; and numerous family and friends.
Survivors include her husband, Billy Pettit of Texarkana; four children, Kennedy Ann and Brody James Thompson, both of Snyder, and Teryn Lee Michelle and Avery Jo Ray Lane, both of Leakey and formerly of Texarkana; three stepchildren, Gavin, Tearnin and Pantera Pettit, all of Texarkana; one sister and brother-in-law, Erica Lynn and Dusty Mathis of Leakey; one sister, Jennifer Loyd of Medina; two brothers, Bobby Jo Loyd of Tennessee and Gerald Loyd of Kerrville; two nieces, Brittney Anne Overhulser of Lubbock and Keylee Grace Mathis of Leakey; her mother, Mary Ann Williams Lyons of Concan; her stepfather, Lenny Loyd of Kerrville; four uncles and one aunt, Mack Williams of Cedar Park, Gary Arnold and Doug Arnold, both of Snyder, and Ricky and Freida Arnold of Arlington.
In lieu of flowers or gifts, memorials may be made to the National Stroke Association, the Alzheimer’s Association or the American Cancer Society.

Craig Row
1976-2017
Craig Row, 40, of Snyder, died Thursday, Jan. 12, 2017.
Funeral service for Mr. Row will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at the First Baptist Church in Hermleigh with Pastor Alan Culp officiating. Dr. Brad Vincent will assist. A private family burial will follow under the direction of Miller Family Funeral home.
Visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
Born on June 30, 1976 in Big Spring to Terry and Brenda (Browning) Row, he was a graduate of Snyder High School and a very active member in the Ritz Community Theatre and the First Baptist Church in Hermleigh. Aside from being a huge Star Wars fan, he enjoyed being very active in his children’s lives. Craig was a great son, loving father and a true friend. He will be truly missed.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Vernell Browning and J.D. and Ella Mae Row.
Survivors include his two children, Ian and Zoe Row, both of Snyder; his mom, Brenda Row of Hermleigh; his father, Terry Row and his wife, Debbie, of Abilene; his grandfather, Jimmie Browning of Snyder; his half-brother, Casey Row of Abilene; his stepsister, Robin Tovias and her husband, Tito, of Abilene; his aunt, Ivone Gilbert and her husband, Franklin; and several cousins.
Memorials may be made to the Ritz Community Theatre or the Snyder High School Golden Theatre Department Booster Club.

Donna Smith
1951-2017
Donna Beth Smith, 65, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, Jan. 13, 2017 at Cogdell Memorial Hospital after a long battle with illness.
Graveside service for Mrs. Smith will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Dunn Cemetery. The service will be under the direction of Miller Family Funeral Home.
Visitation will be held from 6-7 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
Donna was born on April 30, 1951 in Odessa to Jimmy and Virginia Ward. She graduated from Snyder High School in 1971. After high school, Donna continued to play a vital part in her community. She spent time training as an EMT and eventually became a respiratory therapy technician at Cogdell Memorial Hospital, where she worked from 1974-81. She left after the birth of her daughter. Donna also entered the U.S. Army and was in basic training when she was injured and honorably discharged. She married Jeff Smith on March 27, 1981 in her family home in Snyder. She spent 14 years as the deputy treasurer of Scurry County. Donna enjoyed bowling, dancing and spending time with her family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Jimmy and Virginia Ward.
Survivors include her husband, Jeff Smith of Snyder; one daughter, Amanda Smith of Snyder; two grandsons, Stryder Smith and Merrick Shipley, both of Snyder; one sister, Jeanette Sutton of Snyder; one brother, Keith Ward of Bristow, Okla.; many nieces and nephews; and her extended family and friends.

Rodger Sullenger
1942-2017
Dale Rodger Sullenger, 74, of Snyder, died Wednesday, Jan. 11, 2017 in Snyder.
Mass service for Mr. Sullenger will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at St. Elizabeth Catholic Church with Father Jim McCartney officiating. Burial will follow at Snyder Cemetery under the direction of Bell-Cypert-Seale Funeral Home.
A rosary will be held at 6 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Visitation will be held from 6:30-7:30 p.m. Sunday at the  funeral home.
Born on Jan. 28, 1942 in Snyder to Nemes Tish and Roland Sullenger, he married Janie Williams on Aug. 21, 1965 in Snyder. Mr. Sullenger worked for the City of Snyder from 1963-65, Texas Electric Service Company from 1967-92, when he retired, and Bell-Cypert-Seale Funeral Home. He was the manager at Winston Field from 1995-2014, when he retired. He was a member of the Snyder Jaycees, Snyder Optimist Club, Snyder Kiwanis Club, Snyder Child Day Care Center board, Scurry County Historical Commission, Snyder Cemetery Association board, St. Elizabeth Parish Council, on which he served as president, and the Scurry County United Way board. He was awarded the Jaycees past president’s award, distinguished service award, Jaycee of the Year and Boss of the Year, the Optimist Distinguished Secretary Award and Optimist of the Year, the Texas Department of Transportation 2001 General Aviation Airport of the Year award and the Snyder Chamber of Commerce Century II Leadership Award.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Stephen C. Sullenger; his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Aubrey and Rosie Williams; one brother and sister-in-law, Lee Wayne and Lana Sullenger; and one niece, Laura Lee Sullenger.
Survivors include his wife, Janie Sullenger of Snyder; one granddaughter, Kyra L. Sullenger of Ingleside; one sister, Brenda Pitzer and her husband, Danny, of Duncanville; one grandson, Jordan Poe of Ingleside; one daughter-in-law, Melanie Mize and her husband, Chris, of Ingleside; one brother-in-law, Aubrey G. Williams of San Antonio; three sisters-in-law, Virginia Williams of Hermleigh, Betty Thompson and her husband, Derwin, of Snyder and Ruby Gates and her husband, Ned, of San Antonio; one brother-in-law, David Williams and his wife, Delia, of Snyder; one uncle, James Sullenger and his wife, Lujean, of Snyder; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
