Walter Guynes
1936-2016
Walter Guynes, 79, died Friday, Jan. 22, 2016 in Snyder.
Funeral arrangements are pending at Miller Family Funeral Home.

Braden Joplin
1990-2016
Braden Michel Joplin, 25, of Midland, died Tuesday, Jan. 19, 2016 in Omaha, Neb.
Funeral service for Mr. Joplin will be held at 1 p.m. Monday at Crestview Baptist Church in Midland. Burial will follow at Resthaven Memorial Park under the direction of Nalley-Pickle and Welch Funeral Home in Midland.
Visitation will be held from 5-7 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
Braden was born on Oct. 2, 1990 in Levelland to Kenneth and Carolyn Joplin. He graduated from Robert E. Lee High School in 2009. Braden was a senior at Texas Tech University and was majoring in agricultural and applied economics. Braden had decided to sit out a semester to be a student volunteer for Dr. Ben Carson’s presidential campaign. He told his parents many times how much doing this would mean to him because he wanted to help change the direction of his country. He loved music and enjoyed playing the guitar. He also enjoyed all sports, especially football, baseball and basketball. Braden was anticipating being the best man in his brother’s wedding in March. He was a kind person and someone you enjoyed being around. He loved to laugh as well as make others laugh. He will be greatly missed by many.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Marie Hinson, and paternal grandfather, Harry Joplin.
He is survived by his parents, Kenny and Carolyn Joplin; one brother, Bailey Joplin and his fiancé, Stephanie; his paternal grandparents, Ronnie Hinson and his wife, Jean, of Denver City and Janette Huddleston and her husband, Billy, of Snyder; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Pallbearers will be Zach Claybrook, Zach Starnes, Montgomery Floyd, Justin Willmon, Trey Thompson, Nathan Carrasco, John Almager, Brady Smith, Matt Nelson, Hunter Byler and James Fuller.

Grady Morris
1937-2016
Grady Morris, 78, of Colorado City, died Friday Jan. 15, 2016.
Funeral service for Mr. Morris will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday at First United Methodist Church in Colorado City with the Rev. Larry Bass officiating. Burial will follow at Westbrook Cemetery under the direction of Kiker-Seale Funeral Home.
Visitation will be held from 5-7 p.m. today at the funeral home.
