Hollis Chandler
1939-2018
Hollis Earl Chandler left this earth for his Heavenly home on Sunday, July 1, 2018 in San Angelo after a short illness.
Graveside service for Mr. Chandler will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at Rest Memorial Park in Canton with Dan Tarno officiating. The service will be under the direction of Miller Family Funeral Home.
Hollis was born on Aug. 2, 1939 in Snyder to Samuel Hollis Chandler and Fannie Laura Chandler. He married the love of his life, Darlene Cantrell, on Sept. 6, 1960. They were married for 57 years. Hollis never met a stranger and if you knew him, you knew that you had a lifelong friend. He was a truck driver for decades and he drove for Safeway for 25 years. After he retired, he worked at the courthouse in Snyder. Everybody there loved him and he loved them as well. He was a great man and a faithful Christian.
Survivors include his wife, Darlene; one daughter Darla Kay Bethune and her husband, Jimmy; one son, Larry Alan Chandler and his wife, Tracy; six  grandchildren, Jamie Parham, Austin Berry, McKenzie Chandler, Steven Chandler, Kirsten Jennings and Emily Bettinger; six great-grandchildren, Jean and Hayden Parham, Keaton Mogg, Raelynn and Rustin Jennings and Garren Chandler; and several nieces and nephews.

Delwyn Davis
1952-2018
Delwyn Davis, 65, of Snyder, died Tuesday, July 3, 2018. 
Funeral service for Mr. Davis will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at First Baptist Church with Ben Reid officiating. 
Visitation will be held from 6-7 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Born on Aug. 23, 1952 in Big Spring to Melton and Martha (Horton) Davis, he married Judy Morris in Big Spring. He enjoyed sailing and cruising. Delwyn retired from law enforcement after 27 years.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors include his wife, Judy Davis of Snyder; three daughters, Laura Ritchey and her husband, Bryan, of Seminole and Stephanie Zalman and her husband, Toby, and Alyssa Johnson, and Brandon, of Lubbock; one sister, Janice Northerns-McGlouthing and her husband, Bill, of Liberal, Kan.; three brothers, Edwin Davis and his wife, Betty, of Cleburne, Darrel Davis and his wife, Litha, of Lubbock and Kendall Davis and his wife, Wendy, of Van Buren, Ark.; four grandchildren, Baylee and Landry Ritchey, both of Seminole, and Zachary and Zayne Zalman, both of Lubbock; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Barbara Gowin
1948-2018
Barbara Nell Gowin, 70, of Snyder, died Monday, July 2, 2018 in Lubbock. 
Funeral service for Mrs. Gowin will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Buddy Payne officiating. Burial will follow at Hillside Memorial Gardens under the direction of Bell-Cypert-Seale Funeral Home.
Visitation will be held from 6-7 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Born on Feb. 15, 1948 in Quanah to Raymond “Bud” Leslie and Jessie (Terrell) Scarbrough, she married Bill Gowin on March 4, 1972 in Snyder. Barbara was the secretary at Stanfield Elementary School for 20 years and was a five-time cancer survivor.
She was preceded in death by her father and one daughter, Shae Gowin.
Survivors include her husband, Bill Gowin of Snyder; one daughter, Kara Welch and her husband, Tommy, of Snyder; her mother, Jessie Scarbrough of Snyder; one grandchild, Ethan Gowin of Snyder; and one brother, Terrell Scarbrough of Fort Stockton.

John Kincheloe
1938-2018
John Grig Kincheloe, 80, of Snyder, died on Tuesday, July 3, 2018 in Lubbock. 
Funeral service for Mr. Kincheloe will be held at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of Bell-Cypert-Seale Funeral Home.
Born on March 25, 1938 in Comanche County to Jonie and Willie (Clover) Kincheloe, he married Linda Fay O’Neal on Jan. 9, 1964 in Snyder. He was an auto mechanic for Wilson Motors, Fluid Transport and Price Construction for many years.
He was preceded in death by his parents and four brothers, Donnie Kincheloe, Otis Kincheloe, Leroy Kincheloe and Ronald Kincheloe.
Survivors include his wife, Linda Kincheloe of Snyder; two daughters, Teresa Smith and her husband, David, of Galveston and Kimberley Lowrance and her husband, David, of Snyder; two sons, John Mark Kincheloe and John Grig Kincheloe Jr. of Tyler; two sisters, Charolette McDowell of Snyder and Billie Boone of North Carolina; two brothers, Jerry Kincheloe and his wife, Joyce, of Snyder and Leslie Kincheloe and his wife, Venita, of Big Spring; 14 grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren.
