Deborah Hightower
1960-2020

Deborah Hightower, 59, died in Snyder on Thursday, March 19, 2020.
Family visitation is planned from 5 to 6 p.m. Saturday at Miller Family Funeral Home. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Hillside Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Steve Highfield officiating. 
Mrs. Hightower was born on July 21, 1960, in Tucumcari, N.M. to Jerry and Mary (Jones) Horn. She married Melvin Hightower on April 23, 1994, in Snyder. He preceded her in death on Nov. 29, 2011. She loved her family vacations, caring for others, fishing, gardening and taking care of her cats.
She was preceded in death by her mother; her husband; a sister, Glorieta Goswick; and a grandson, Phillip Wesberry.
Survivors include a daughter, Marttie Wesberry and husband, Benny, of Dallas; a grandson, Cody Wesberry Dallas; a granddaughter, Mindy Barnes and husband, Dakota, of Dallas; her father; two sisters, Charlene Reyes and Pamela Coggin, both of Midland; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

Ramon Luera
1953-2020

Ramon Luera, 66, died in Snyder on Thursday, March 19, 2020.
Family visitation is planned from 9 to 10:30 a.m. Saturday, March 21st, 2020 at Miller Family Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 11:00 a.m. at Snyder Cemetery with Father Raj Arokiasamy officiating. 
Mr. Luera was born August 31, 1953, in Sinton to Jesus Luera and Paula (Ortiz) Garcia. He married Mary Helen Rocha on April 21, 1976, in Snyder. She preceded him in death on Aug. 4, 2011. He loved his family.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; a brother, Locadio Luera; and a sister, Mary Ann Balboa.
Survivors include a son, Jesse Luera of Snyder; three daughters, Amy Luera and husband, Lance Burton, Lisa Luera and Linda Tovar and husband, Guadalupe, all of Snyder, TX; 12 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; five brothers, Gilbert Luera of Ganado, Domingo Luera Sr. of Snyder, Alex Hernandez Jr. of Arlington, Martin Hernandez of Colorado City and Jessie Hernandez of Victoria; four sisters, Lydia Galvin of El Campo, Beatrice Castillo of Somerset, Julie Lara of El Campo and Gloria Lara of Ganado.
