Gerlinde Thompson, 78, of Snyder, died Thursday, April 30, 2020.
Graveside services for Mrs. Thompson will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at Hillside Memorial Gardens Cemetery. A visitation will be held from noon to 1:45 p.m. at Miller Family Funeral Home.
Mrs. Thompson was born Dec. 23, 1941, in Karlsruhz, Baden-Wurttemberg, Germany, to Kurt and Lina (Lang) Riemer. She married Ernest Thompson on Nov. 9, 1962, in Germany. He preceded her in death on July 8, 2009. She spent most of her years volunteering in different organizations in town.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband.
Survivors include two sons, Roy Thompson and Brandi of Davie, Fla., and Mark Thompson and Daphene of Snyder; two sisters, Hiede Riemer and Doris Riemer, both of Germany; four grandchildren, Brigitte Lasko and Dan of Avon Lake, Ohio, Taylor Collins and Harold of Conway, S.C., Austin Thompson of Davie, Fla., and Travis Thompson of Snyder; and one great-granddaughter, Cassidy Collins of Conway, S.C.
