Doug T. Morris

1949-2023

Doug T. Morris , 73, passed away in Snyder on May 16.

Mr.  Morris was born on December 23, 1949 in Snyder to Thomas and Susie (Robertson) Morris. He married Retha Criswell on March 5, 1971, in Snyder. She preceded him in death on November 12, 2016.  

He was preceded in death by parents; wife; brothers and sisters, Maxine Whittenberg, Eldon Morris, Doris Wright, Alford Morris, Margaret Rylander, Billy Morris, Mammie Sue Hart, Troy Morris, Ronnie Morris, Bobby Morris, Douglas Morris, Eugene Morris, Roy Morris, Joy Gale Morris and Norman Dean Morris.

He is survived by his daughter, Tracie Elam and husband Jody of Snyder; sons, Tommy Morris and wife Amy of Lubbock and Brandon Morris and wife Lauren of Lubbock; grandchildren, Alexis Elam of Snyder, Tanya Heuermann and husband Stetson of Snyder, Chase Carroll and wife Stephanie  of Dimmitt, Kalie Duggan and husband Tristian of Troup, Amanda Helton and husband Matthew of Colorado City, Katelynn Morris of Lubbock, Cooper Morris of Lubbock, Hunter Morris of Lubbock and Ellie Morris of Lubbock; great-grandchildren, Jackson Hernandez of Snyder,  Kadrian Gorge, Jr. of Snyder, Taylynn Heuermann of Snyder, Roper Heuermann of Snyder, D’Layla Carroll of Dimmitt, Elizabeth Carroll of Dimmitt, J.D. Duggan of Troup, Leon Graham of Colorado City, Brinley Leatherwood of Snyder and Andrew Leatherwood of Snyder; sister, Debra Harmon and husband Doug of Lubbock; his best friend, Max of Snyder; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Family Visitation was May 19 from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. at Miller Family Funeral Home. Funeral services were on May 19 at 2 p.m. at Miller Family Funeral Home with Pastor Cliff Phillips officiating. Burial followed under the direction of Miller Family Funeral Home at Hillside Memorial Gardens.

Betty Florene Pickens

1940-2023

Mrs. Betty Florene Pickens, 83, of Gail passed away on May 18 at Focus Care Skilled Care in Lamesa.

Mrs. Pickens was born on May 7, 1940, in Red Mud to Floyd and Dixie (Garrett) Murray. She married Jimmie on Friday, May 13, 1994, in Waurika, Oklahoma.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and brothers, James Coy, Ronnie, Tommy Murray and Larry Pullen.

She is survived by her husband; daughters, Renne’ Atkinson and husband Joe of Dickens, Dixie Cox and husband Robert of San Antonio and Keitha St. Clair of San Marcos; son, Brent St. Clair of Hobbs; sister, Linda Pullen of Burnett; brother, Jerry Pullen of Midland; Jimmy’s children, Dania Vega of Artesia, NM and Melanie Hull of Lubbock; eight grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

A visitation was held May 19 from  6 p.m. to  7 p.m. at Bell-Cypert-Seale Funeral Home.

A Funeral Service for Mrs. Pickens was held on May 20 at 10 a.m. at Lighthouse Assembly of God with Reverend Danny Williams officiating. Internment will follow at Hillside Memorial Gardens. Services are under the direction of Bell-Cypert-Seale Funeral Home.

 

Teresa Marie McClain

1964-2023

Mrs. Teresa Marie McClain, 58, of Snyder passed away on May 18 in Lubbock at Covenant Medical Center.

Mrs. McClain was born on August 29, 1964, in Snyder to Barbara Radican. She married Eddie McClain on August 19, 1988, in Snyder.

She was preceded in death by her mother and her daughter, Debra Radican.

She is survived by her husband, Eddie McClain of Snyder; daughter, Terrie Bullock of Snyder; son, Raymond McClain of Kyle; brothers, David Wilson and wife Renee of Odessa, Tim Wilson and wife Donna of Colorado City and Rusty Radican and wife Debbie Deer of Germantown, TN; and five grandchildren.

Visitation was held May 21 from 3 p.m. to 4 p.m. at Bell-Cypert-Seale Funeral Home.

A Funeral Service for Mrs. McClain was held on May 22 at 10 a.m. at Bell-Cypert-Seale Funeral Home with Pastor Reid Johnson officiating. Interment will follow at Snyder Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Bell-Cypert-Seale Funeral Home.
