Martin Manuel Garcia

1968-2023

Mr. Martin Manuel Garcia, 54, of Lubbock and formerly of Snyder, passed away on May 23 at Covenant Medical Center in Lubbock.

Mr. Garcia was born on November 20, 1968, in Snyder to Manuel and Juanita (Pacheco) Garcia. He married Rachel Gonzales on August 9, 2007, in Lubbock and they have enjoyed 15 years of marriage although the joke is that the true loves of his life were his dogs, Thor and Godiva. Mr. Garcia will be remembered for being a wonderful son, husband, father, grandfather and brother. He loved working in the oilfield, fishing, anything outdoors and his BBQ will be sorely missed.

He was preceded in death by his mother.

He is survived by his wife, Rachel Garcia of Lubbock; daughters, Michelle Costilla and husband Jody of Snyder, Megan Garcia of Grapevine and Brittnie Lopez of Lubbock; sons, Michael Garcia and wife Bridget of Odessa, Martin Garcia and wife Priscilla of Snyder, Matthew Garcia and wife Ashley of Odessa and Brandon Ramos of Lubbock; father; brothers, Jamie Garcia and wife Melissa of Lubbock and Christopher Garcia of Lubbock; grandchildren, Gabby Plumly, Joseph Garcia, Zoe  Costilla, Sammy Costilla, Silas Hurtado, Stevie Hurtado, Braven Hurtado, Breyah Hurtado, Albert Anzar, Ivy Anzar, Ezekiel Garcia, Isaiah Garcia, Mariah Garcia, Moses Garcia and Abraham Garcia; and two great–grandchildren, Hazel Plumley and Evelynn Plumley..

Visitation was held May 26 from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Bell-Cypert-Seale Funeral Home.

A Funeral Service for Mr. Garcia was held on May 27 at 10 a.m. at Bell-Cypert-Seale Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Hillside Memorial Gardens. Services are under the direction of Bell-Cypert-Seale Funeral Home.

Anna Beth Taylor

1952-2023

Mrs. Anna Beth Taylor, 71, of Snyder passed away on May 25 at Covenant Medical Center in Lubbock.

Beth Taylor was born on April 23, 1952, in Brady to Alton Benson and Johnnie Bell (Davis) Bradshaw. She attended Brady High School and attended Tarelton State University, earning a degree in Education. She married Merle on August 14, 1971, in Brady, She taught school in Lohn and Brady ISD and retired after 30 plus years of service. She was a member of the Methodist Church and was involved with the Snyder Gold Coats and the Chamber of Commerce. In 2016, she was awarded the Chamber Choice Award. She loved to travel. She will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, and grandmother.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brother and brother–in–Law, Alton S. Bradshaw and Alan Taylor; and her mother and father–in–law, Merle and Leta Rae Taylor Sr.

She is survived by her husband, Merle Taylor of Snyder; son, Brandon Taylor and wife Rhanda of Locker; sister and sister–in–law, Janice Fannin and husband Terry of San Angelo and Donna Taylor of Richland Springs; brother–in–law, Dean Taylor and wife Phyllis of Richland Springs; grandchildren, Raiden and Jaxon Taylor; nieces, Sarah Taylor and Nikki Timms; nephews, Josh and Jeremy Timms, Phillip and Nick Taylor; and several great nieces and nephews.

No Services are planned for Mrs. Taylor at this time. Services are under the direction of Bell-Cypert-Seale Funeral Home.

Dorothea Emma Thomas

1942-2023

Mrs. Dorothea Emma Thomas, 80, of Snyder passed away on May 27 at Hendrick Hospital in Abilene.

Mrs. Thomas was born on August 9, 1942 in Blackwell to James Rodney and Rosie Emma (Carr) Doggett. She married A.Z. on March 19, 1960, in Knox City. She chose to be a USDA Food Inspector and was a member of the Ave D Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters and eight brothers.

She is survived by her husband, A.Z. Thomas of Snyder; daughter, Rhonda Thomas of Snyder; son and daughter–in–law, David Thomas and wife Debra of Trent; grandchildren, Charles Underwood and wife Nicole of Snyder, Brandon Thomas and wife Summer of Snyder, Tylor Councilman and wife Renee of Merkel, Ashlyn Thomas of Trent, Austin Thomas of Trent, Reagan Thomas of Trent, Wyatt Thomas, Trent; and eight great–grandchildren.

Visitation was held May 29 from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Bell-Cypert-Seale Funeral Home.

A Funeral Service for Mrs. Thomas was held on May 30 at 10 a.m. at Avenue D. Baptist Church with Reverend Charles Lowry officiating. Internment followed at Hillside Memorial Gardens. Services are under the direction of Bell-Cypert-Seale Funeral Home.

Gregoria Rodriguez

1946-2023

Mrs. Gregoria Rodriguez, 77, of Snyder passed away on May 27 at Snyder Oaks Care Center in Snyder.

Gregoria Rodriguez was born on May 25, 1946, in Colorado City to Pablo and Gregoria (Gutierrez) Rodriguez. She enjoyed life as a housewife and also picking cotton fields.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Juan Vela; daughter, Josefina Salazar; her parents; six sisters; and four brothers.

She is survived by granddaughters, Veronica Aguilar of Snyder; Leticia Padilla of McAllen, Briana Elena Juarez of Henderson, KY, Angelica Juarez of Florida, Guadalupe Juarez of Lubbock; grandsons, Mark Aguilar of Nevada, Heraclio Juarez and wife Alma of Lubbock, Francisco Fonseca of Snyder; and 19 great–grandchildren.

A Funeral Service for Mrs. Gregoria Rodriguez will be held on May 31 at 10 a.m. at Bell-Cypert-Seale Funeral Home with Pastor Reid Johnson  officiating. Services are under the direction of Bell-Cypert-Seale Funeral Home.

Otis Davis Clayton

1945-2023

Mr. Otis Davis (O.D.) Clayton, 78, of Snyder passed away on May 23 at Snyder Oaks Care Center in Snyder.

Mr. Clayton was born on May 20, 1945, in Cameron to Robert Allen and Ester (Bailey) Clayton. He was a graduate of Snyder High School. After graduation, he worked as a janitor for Dallas ISD 25 years.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Robert and Curtis Clayton; and sister, Estell Clayton.

He is survived by his brothers, Roy Clayton of Lubbock, DeWayne Clayton, Billy Clayton, William Clayton of Snyder, James Earl Clayton of Lubbock and Aurthur Clayton of Snyder; sisters, Velma Clay of Snyder and Melinda Clayton of Tyler.

A Graveside Memorial Service for Mr. Clayton will be held on June 3 at 2 p.m. at Snyder Cemetery with Reverend Shannon Harrison officiating. Services are under the direction of Bell-Cypert-Seale Funeral Home.

Margie Cary Glasscock

1933-2023

Mrs. Margie Cary Glasscock, 90, of Abilene and formerly of Snyder passed away on May 27 at Hendricks South Medical Center in Abilene.

Margie Cary Glasscock was born on February 15, 1933 in Lubbock to Alvin Earl and Oreon Cora (Franks) Cary. She married Odis Glasscock who preceeded her in death on January 14, 1971. She was the secretary for an insurance company for many years and a member of the First Christian Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; sister, Norma Reed; and Brothers, Donald Lee and Jim Bob Cary.

She is survived by her daughters, Terri Wilke and husband Tom of Abilene, Vicki Lyles and husband Gary of College Station and Shirley Keller of Snyder; and son, Randy Glasscock of Granbury.

Mr. Joe Garza, 53, of Snyder passed away on May 20, 2023, at Cogdell Memorial Hospital in Snyder, Texas.
