1961-2020
Robert E. Jones Jr., 58, formerly of Snyder, died Tuesday, May 5, 2020, in Fort Wayne, Ind., following surgery and a brief illness.
Per Robert's request, there will not be a memorial service.
Robert was born in Las Vegas, N.M., on Dec. 28, 1961. Robert was at The Visiting Nurse Hospice facility, in Fort Wayne at the time of his passing and was living in Warsaw, Ind., when he became ill.
Robert was a person with many talents and gifts. In school he received awards for best actor. He could always make you laugh and bring joy to any occasion.
He worked as a paramedic and later at various gas and electrical plants for years. He had a passion and love in helping with Ciro Prison Ministries, ministering to others, baking, cleaning, and helping with carpentry. He did beautiful carpentry work and Robert always said he was “Jack of all Trades, Master of None.”
Robert loved helping everyone he encountered. He will be greatly missed by friends and family.
Survivors include his mother, Jo Beth Hodges, and his sister, Elain Pierce, both of Snyder; a daughter, Danielle Rohm of Valencia, Calif.; two grandchildren, Alayna Michelle and Ethan Robert Rohm; and many others that called him “dad” and “grandpa.” He so loved little children.
