Novilla Benitez
1923-2015
Novilla Benitez, 92, died Monday, Nov. 16, 2015 in Snyder.
Funeral service for Mrs. Benitez will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Avenue D Baptist Church with Cliff Phillips officiating. Burial will follow at Hillside Memorial Gardens under the direction of Miller Family Funeral Home.
Visitation will be held from 6-7 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Mrs. Benitez was born on Feb. 18, 1923 in Dermott to William Goswick and Emmer Blair. She was part of a cafeteria staff for 10 years. She married Jesse Alonzo Johnson on June 23, 1941 in Snyder. He preceded her in death on June 28, 1995. She later married Benny Benitez on Nov. 27, 1997 in Snyder. She was a member of the Church of God for 50 years and Avenue D Baptist Church for 18 years.
She was also preceded in death by her parents; five sons, William Johnson, Don Johnson, Jesse Johnson, Damen Johnson and George Johnson; five brothers; and one sister.
Survivors include her husband, Benny Benitez of Snyder; one daughter, Bonnie Norred of Snyder; two daughters-in-law, Wanda Johnson of Snyder and Cathy Johnson of Hermleigh; three stepsons and stepdaughters-in-law, Manuel and Jane Gutierrez of McCaulley, Ygnanico and Cris Benitez of Snyder and Kenneth and Freida Benitez of Rotan; three stepdaughters and two stepsons-in-law, Rosa Luna of Snyder, Linda and Jim Butchez of Wylie and Brenda and Don Call of Lubbock; one sister and brother-in-law, Sue and Bobby George Benson of DeBerry; 30 grandchildren; 60 great-grandchildren; and 46 great-great-grandchildren.

Judy Brown
1952-2015
Judy Kristina Brown, 62, of Snyder, died Monday, Nov. 16, 2015 in Snyder.
Funeral arrangements are pending at Bell-Cypert-Seale Funeral Home.

Lindy Clark
1927-2015
Lindy Clark went to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Friday, Nov. 13, 2015 at his home.
A celebration of life service will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the First Baptist Church Chapel in Snyder with the Rev. Jimmy Nelson officiating. A private committal service will be held prior to the celebration of life service. The services will be under the direction of Bell-Cypert-Seale Funeral Home.
Visitation will be held from 6-7 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Lindy was born on April 23, 1927 to Albert and Ida Mae Clark in Clayton. They moved to Snyder when he was eight months old. After graduating from Snyder High School in 1944, he spent his time in the U.S. Navy stationed in Great Lakes, Georgetown and New Orleans. He attended Texas Tech University. He married Carla Jean von Roeder on June 25, 1949 and they celebrated 66 years together. They raised their four children in Snyder. They moved to Oregon in 1979. After five years, they moved to Richardson, where they have lived the past 32 years.
Lindy was an entrepreneur and started and obtained several small businesses in his lifetime, including Lindy Clark Farm Service Center, Gulf Oil Distributing, Lindy Clark Water Well Service, Clark and Smith Propane and the last being Allied Travel Agency in Richardson.
Lindy lived his life for the Lord and his family.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Albert and Ida Mae Clark; his wife’s parents, Nolan and Opal von Roeder; his children, Terry Clark, Stanley Clark and Teresa Clark Pugh; five brothers, Blanton Clark, James A. Clark, Everett Clark, Donald Clark and Harry Clark; and three sisters, Joyce Kemp, Melba Worley and Evelyn Dorman.
Survivors include his wife, Carla von Roeder Clark; one daughter, Denise Clark Stufflebeam and her husband, John; his grandchildren, Carl Clark and his wife, Melissa, Stormy Clark Shields and her husband, James Allen, Justin Pugh, Andrea Stufflebeam and Matthew Stufflebeam; and four great-grandchildren, Reese Camp, Caitlyn Clark, Carson Clark and Asher Shields.

Dennis Luecke
1942-2015
Dennis Luecke, 73, died Tuesday, Nov. 17, 2015 in Snyder.

William Raborn
1923-2015
William Ed Raborn, 92, of Snyder, died Friday, Nov. 13, 2015 in Dripping Springs.
Funeral service for Mr. Raborn will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday in the First Baptist Church Chapel. Burial will follow at Hillside Memorial Gardens under the direction of Bell-Cypert-Seale Funeral Home.
Visitation will be held from 5-6 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Mr. Raborn was born in Waco on April 14, 1923 to Ed and Willie Mae Raborn and was raised there. He married Juanita McKinney on Oct. 30, 1943 and they were married for 69 years. As a first lieutenant in World War II, Mr. Raborn served with the 27th Engineer Construction Battalion, laying roads under direct enemy fire in the Philippines, and later served with the Army of Occupation in Japan.  
Completing his education at Texas A&M, he held teaching positions in Gallup, N.M. and Daisetta before moving to Snyder in 1953, where he was a well-respected educator at Snyder Junior High School and Snyder High School for more than 52 years and influenced three generations of students. He taught primarily industrial arts and his love for teaching showed in his many projects, including woodwork, collecting rocks and making jewelry. 
He is well remembered for his love and dedication to God, family and friends, and he served as a deacon at First Baptist Church for more than 50 years. 
He was preceded in death by his wife, Juanita Raborn; one brother, John Raborn; and his parents, Ed and Willie Mae Raborn.
Survivors include four sons, Bill Raborn and his wife, Kathy, of Snyder, Bob Raborn and his wife, Karen, of Abilene, John Raborn and his wife, Sherie, of Garden City, Calif. and Sam Raborn of Tyler; one daughter, Wanda Reynolds and her husband, Randy, of Henly; one brother Bob Raborn of Shreveport, La.; 10 grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren. 
Although we will miss him, we are glad he no longer suffers and will remember his life on this earth with love and fond memories.
