Kathryn Dodson, 96, died Tuesday, Oct. 2, 2018 in Snyder.
Graveside service for Mrs. Dodson will be held at 10 a.m. Monday at Hillside Memorial Gardens with Dr. Tommy Culwell officiating. The service will be under the direction of Bell-Cypert-Seale Funeral Home.
Visitation will be held from 4-5 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
Born on March 15, 1922 in Olden to E.W. and Allie (Brumlow) Griffin, she married Wayne N. Dodson in Odessa. He preceded her in death on Jan. 14, 1993. She was a bookkeeper for Wayne Dodson Consultants and a member of Colonial Hill Baptist Church. She also volunteered at Cogdell Memorial Hospital with the Ladies Auxiliary Pink Ladies.
She was also preceded in death by her parents, Allie and E.W. Griffin, one son, Wayne W. Dodson, one daughter, Kay Burton, and one great-grandson, John David Chandler.
Survivors include one grandson, Jay Butler and his wife, Shonna, of Snyder; three granddaughters, Kim Minor and her husband, Jeff, of Snyder, Karen Van DeMark of Granbury and Teresa Archambo and her husband, Larry, of Wichita Falls; six great-grandchildren, Tanner Butler and his wife, Tamara, Jaysen Butler, Tye McLaughlin and his wife, Rachel, of Wichita Falls, Trey McLaughlin, Meggan Long and her husband, Bryan, of Snyder and Bailey Minor of Roscoe; and two great-great-grandchildren, Allison Butler and Owen McLaughlin.

Gilbert Salazar
1942-2018
Esmerejildo “Gilbert” Salazar, 76, died Monday, Oct. 1, 2018 in Nocona.
Funeral service for Mr. Salazar will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at Faith Baptist Church with the Rev. Nicky Johnson officiating. Burial will follow at Snyder Cemetery under the direction of Miller Family Funeral Home.
Visitation will be held from 4-8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
Mr. Salazar was born on April 6, 1942 in La Reforma to Roberto and Juana (Marez) Salazar. He loved playing games and being with his children and grandchildren. He was a member of Faith Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one daughter, Angel Dahlia Marie Salazar; four brothers, Ruben Salazar, Beto Salazar, Ramiro Salazar and Leo Salazar; and six sisters, Esther Salazar, Yolanda Salazar, Helena Juarezgui, Connie Sanchez, Esperanza Munez and Lydia Delbosque.
Survivors include three sons, Daniel Salazar and his wife, Cindy, of Midland, Ernest Salazar and his wife, Rhonda, of Gary, Ind., and Manuel Salazar and his wife, Helena Beltran, of Sweetwater; nine grandchildren, Kirsten Olivares and her husband, Miguel, of Nocona, Allyson Ruddick of Frisco, Gabriel Salazar and Nathaniel Salazar, both of Sweetwater, Amanda Salazar, Austin Salazar and E.J. Salazar, all of Gary, Ind., July Cavasos of Dallas and Lauren Rodriguez of Hewitt; five great-grandchildren, Melanie Olivares, Miguel Olivares, Jasmine Olivares and Gilbert Olivares, all of Nocona, and Wesley Ortega of Hewitt; and three sisters, Gloria Gomes of Abilene, Frances Garcia of California and Rosa Angels of Arizona.

Frances Suttle
1927-2018
Frances Marguerite Barnhill Suttle, a true Southern Belle indeed, was a beautiful lady of quick wit, with an infectious smile and a strong deep faith in our Lord Jesus Christ.
She departed this earthly world on Sept. 30, 2018 surrounded by her three children.
Her celebration of life service will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday in the Bell-Cypert-Seale Funeral Home Chapel with Kevin Phillips, pastor of First United Methodist Church, officiating. Burial will follow at 4 p.m. at the Eastview Cemetery in Vernon.
Visitation will be held from 6-7 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Frances portrayed the graceful essence of class and charm. Known for her superb talent in the art of sewing, Frances displayed the creative genius of coordinating the exact patterns and colors to sew her children’s entire wardrobes throughout their school days in Snyder ISD. She continued to volunteer her talent to make numerous quilts for the Scurry County Senior Citizens Center May Day event.
Frances was born in Olney on Feb. 10, 1927 to Marvin and Gencie Ruth Hewitt Barnhill. She was the sixth child of seven brothers and sisters. She grew up in Vernon and met Walter Marshall Suttle at the local swimming pool. They married on July 10, 1947.
She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, two brothers, M.E. Barnhill and Aaron Barnhill, and three sisters, Jamie Barnhill, Mary Helen Barnhill and Arelia Faye Johnson.
Her surviving children are Walter Tony Suttle of Ruidoso, N.M., Marsha Kubena and her husband, Don, of Hermleigh and Christy Suttle of Snyder. “Maw Maw Girlfriends” grandchildren are Christopher Suttle and his wife, Angela, and Tyeson Suttle, all of Ruidoso N.M., Alicia Kubena of Hermleigh, Brooke Coffman of Frisco, and Jerome Pratt and his wife, Melissa, and Jenny Pratt, all of Amarillo. She is also survived by 11 great-grandchildren. They are Kaden, Ryland and Weslee Suttle and Stone Suttle, all of Ruidoso, N.M., Hayden and Evan Coffman, both of Frisco, Addison and Sophie Pratt and Sydnee, Khloe and Hallee Pratt, all of Amarillo. She is survived by her sister, Sheila White and her husband, Dan, of Vernon; her sister-in-law, Marge Barnhill of Abilene; numerous beloved nieces and nephews; and a host of friends.
