Bert Kenneth Crisp Jr.

1963-2020

Bert Kenneth Crisp Jr., 57, died Tuesday, Sept. 22, 2020.

The family will celebrate his life at 12:30 p.m. Saturday at the Family Life Center of Snyder's First Baptist Church. Arrangements are under the direction of Bell-Cypert-Seale Funeral Home in Snyder.

He was born Sept. 17, 1963, in Fort Meade, Md., to parents Bert K Crisp Sr. and Jean Carol Crisp. Bert loved life and the Lord. He found good in everything and loved showing kindness.

He was preceded in death by his father; his grandparents, Carlton C. Fore, Louella Fore, Alberta Clyde Crisp, Margaret Crisp and Pearlin Crisp; and his favorite uncle, Jerome Smith.

Survivors include his mother of Lampasas; his daughters, Stephanie Vantine and husband, Patrick, of Snyder and Megan Reyna and husband, Ernest, of Wichita Falls; his grandchildren, Bostyn Allen, Nolan Vantine, Bentley Reyna and Aria Rose Reyna; his brothers, David Crisp and wife, Melanie, and family of Lampasas and Michael "Bones" Crisp and family of Nolanville. He also leaves his beloved pet and companion Minnie, as well as several cousins and his favorite aunt, Louise Smith.

Royce Lee Gray

1928-2020

Royce Lee Gray, 91, of Frisco died Wednesday, Aug. 26, 2020. 

Visitation was held at from 2 to 4 p.m. Aug. 30 at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home in Frisco. A private interment was held at Highland Cemetery in Durant, Okla., on Aug. 31.

He was born on Aug, 27, 1928, in Cuervo, N.M., to Hattie (Buckman) and John Gray. Royce married Earlene and enjoyed 66 wonderful years of marriage prior to her passing. He was the father to four children. He obtained an associate’s degree and had a successful career as a mechanic in the oil and gas industry with Chevron.

Royce was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; his sister, Louise; his brothers, Horace and Lyndall; his daughter-in-law, Chandra; and his nephews, Robert Rutherford and David Rutherford.

Survivors include his children, Wayne Gray of Frisco, Teresa Young of Lubbock, Mitzy Elledge and her husband, David, of Temple and Peggy Gray of Denison; his grandchildren, Deidre Miller and her husband, Carl, Jennifer Mize, Devon Mize and his wife, Nikki, David Mize and his wife, Rose, Elissa Poole and her husband, Perry, Valerie Layton and her husband, Colt, Stephen Mize and Halley Elledge; 12 great-grandchildren, Jared, Morgan, Austin, Grayson, Chloe, Brayden, Austin, Hunter, Lindsey, Lucas, Carter and Mason; and his niece, Carolyn Musgrave.

Tommie Joe Henry

1938-2020

Mr. Tommie Joe Henry, 82, died Monday, Sept. 21, 2020, at Shannon Medical Center in San Angelo.

Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Pyron Cemetery in Hermleigh with Mr. Jimmy Hudgins officiating. Visitation will be from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. Friday at the Bell-Cypert-Seale Funeral Home.

Tommie was born June 13, 1938 in Jacksonville to Elmer and Opal (Newton) Henry. Tommie married Nell Hudgins on Aug. 12, 1967.

Tommie farmed around Hermleigh for many years before going to work for Scurry County. He retired in 2002.

Tommie enjoyed high school football, drinking coffee with his friends, conversations with anyone who had a few minutes to visit and attending his grandchildren's activities.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his twin brother Lonnie and his daughter-in-law Ashley.

Survivors include his wife of 53 years; his daughter, Mande Reeves and her husband, Greg, of Lubbock; his son, Jimmy Henry of San Angelo; his granddaughters, Cassidy and Sydney Reeves; his grandsons, Cade, Wyatt and Trey Henry; his brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Ralph and Barbara Hudgins, Jim and Wanda Crownover, Jimmy and Pat Hudgins and Dennis and Mary Carlton; and many nieces and nephews.

Patsy Jean Roe

1932-2020

Patsy Jean Roe, 87, died Friday, Sept. 18, 2020.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Miller Family Funeral Home Chapel with Mr. Nathan Hines officiating.

Mrs. Roe was born on Nov. 20, 1932, in Rotan to Herman and Jeanie (Wood) Coan. She married R.J. "Bill" Roe on Dec. 3, 1950, in Carlsbad, N.M. She was a member of East Side Church of Christ for more than 60 years. 
She taught children's Sunday School class for many years, worked at Cogdell Memorial Hospital as a ward clerk and coached softball. She loved her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Her favorite pastime was fishing.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Survivors include her husband; two sons, Bobby Roe of Stanton and Terry Roe and wife, Danita, of Ira; and his daughter, Bunny Harris and husband, Bruce, of Midland.
