LUBBOCK — A big second inning was the difference in the Snyder Tiger baseball team’s 8-6 season-opening win over Lubbock High School in Lubbock on Monday.
Snyder junior Cameron Smith hit a two-run double in the second inning, scoring junior Zeke Esparza and senior Kyler Gryder. In the next at-bat, senior Austin Escobedo laced a triple, allowing Smith to score and put Snyder ahead, 3-0.
