WILSON — For the first time in recent history, the Hermleigh Cardinal football team is perfect after five games.
After another mercy-rule win over the Wilson Mustangs Friday during which the Cardinals scored 54 points in the first half, Hermleigh improved to 5-0.
The win is Hermleigh’s fourth to be decided via the mercy rule and all of their wins have been decided by 35 points or more.
