SWEETWATER — The Snyder Lady Tigers lost to Sweetwater 19-7 in a District 5-4A softball game Friday.
Snyder scored three runs in the first inning, highlighted by Claudia Gutierrez’ 2-run home run.
The Lady Mustangs scored 10 runs in the fourth to build a 10-3 lead and added two runs in the fifth inning.
Hailey Morris hit a 3-run home run in a 4-run Snyder sixth inning. The Lady Mustangs scored seven runs in the bottom of the inning to end the game on the 10-run rule.
Morris hit a double and home run with three RBIs and two stolen bases. Jasmine Montoya hit a single and home run.
Gutierrez took the loss after allowing four runs on seven hits in three innings.
Snyder (13-13, 0-3) will host Brownwood Friday.
