BREWER — The Snyder Lady Tigers defeated Waxahachie and lost to Saganaw Saturday at the Brewer Softball Tournament.
In the 9-5 win over Waxahachie, Snyder built a 6-0 lead through four innings.
The Lady Tigers scored two runs in the first inning on a double by Hailey Morris and a wild pitch. Jasmine Montoya hit a 2-run double in the third and a 2-run single in the fourth.
Waxahachie cut Snyder’s lead to 6-2 in the fifth.
The Lady Tigers scored three runs in the bottom of the inning on doubles by Alyssa Benitez and Claudia Gutierrez and a ground out.
Gutierrez hit a single and two doubles with two RBIs while Montoya hit a single and double with four RBIs.
Snyder lost to Saginaw, 5-0.
The Lady Tigers (3-5) will host Lubbock Monterey at 5 p.m. Tuesday.
