Lady Tigers rally in seventh for win over Colorado City

COLORADO CITY — The Snyder softball team scored the winning run in the seventh inning to claim an 11-10 win over Colorado City in a non-district softball game Tuesday.

Jessica Carroll, who hit a single, later scored on a passed ball to give Snyder (7-9) the win.

Snyder took a 2-0 lead in the first inning on Hailey Morris’ RBI double and Jasmine Montoya’s RBI single. Colorado City took a 3-2 lead in the bottom of the inning and increased the lead to 7-2 in the second.

The Lady Tigers scored one run in the third and two in the fourth. After Colorado City took a 10-5 lead after four innings, Snyder tied the game in the top of the fifth. Carroll hit a 2-run double while Nicole Clark and Kerrington Biggers had RBI hits in the five-run inning.

The Lady Tigers will host the Snyder Softball Invitational Thursday through Saturday. Snyder’s first game will be at 11:30 a.m. Thursday against San Angelo Lake View.
