SEMINOLE — Maeghan Medrano pitched a 1-hit shutout as Snyder defeated Pecos 15-0 at the Seminole Invitational Softball Tournament on Friday.
The Lady Tigers lost to Andrews, 18-5, in the second game of the day. Today, Snyder (6-7) was scheduled to play Shallowater at 10:30 a.m. and Midland Greenwood at 3 p.m.
Against Pecos, Snyder built a 6-0 lead through three innings. Medrano hit a 2-run home run in the third inning.
The Lady Tigers pulled away with nine runs in the fourth inning. Bailey Morris hit a 2-run home run and Morgan Grant and Jessica Carroll each had RBI doubles.
Against Andrews, Snyder scored one run in the third. Alyssa Benitez and Nicole Clark each hit 2-run doubles in the fourth.

Baseball
The Snyder Tigers lost to Lehman and Fort Bend Clements at the Comal Baseball Tournament Friday.
In a 5-1 loss to Lehman, Snyder scored its only run on an error in the sixth inning.
Later in the day, Snyder lost to Clements, 7-5. Snyder scored two runs in the first inning and Lance Davis hit a solo home run in the third.
Matt Bass hit an RBI single in the fifth.
The Tigers scored one run in the seventh.
Snyder (4-5) was scheduled to play one game today against an opponent to be determined.
