The Western Texas College softball team split a doubleheader with Dodge City Community College at United Field Friday.

Dodge City rallied for six runs in the top of the eighth inning to claim a 10-4 win in the first game. WTC won the second game, 14-6.

Addison Jobe hit two singles and had two stolen bases in the first game for the WTC.

In the second game, Alyssa Adames had two singles and a double with three RBIs while Jobe and Priscilla Guzman each had two doubles with two RBIs. Jaden Shoults hit two singles with two RBIs and Karena Cabrera hit a single and double. Arun Flores hit two singles.

The Lady Westerners (7-11) were scheduled to host Colby Community College in a doubleheader at 1 p.m. today. WTC will play Otero Junior College in a doubleheader at 10 a.m. Sunday.

WTC pitcher — Aryn Flores (3-4) 14 hits, 10 runs, 6 earned runs, 9 strikeouts, 1 walk in 8 innings.

Second Game

WTC hitters — Alyssa Adames 2 singles, double, 3 RBIs; Addison Jobe 2 doubles, 2 RBIs, 1 stolen base; Priscilla Guzman 2 doubles, 2 RBIs; Jaden Shoults 2 singles, 2 RBIs; Kawena Cabrera single, double, 1 RBI; Aryn Flores 2 singles; Kaitlyn Hicks home run, 2 RBIs; Carmen Spring single, 1 RBI; Bailey McAlpine 1 RBI.
