Maeghan Medrano pitched a three-inning no-hitter against Merkel and Claudia Gutierrez pitched a 2-hit shutout against Merkel at the Snyder Softball Tournament Thursday.
Medrano struck out three and walked three in the 20-0 win over Lake View. Gutierrez pitched four innings in the 10-0 win over Merkel.

Snyder scored 11 runs in the first inning. Alyssa Molinar hit a 2-run single, Gutierrez and Nicole Clark each had RBI hits and Hailey Morris hit a 2-run triple.
In the second innin,g Clark hit a 2-run single, Morris hit an RBI double and Gutierrez hit an RBI single.
In the third inning, Jasmine Montoya, Gutierrez and Clark hit RBI singles and Morris had an RBI double.
Snyder 10, Merkel 0
Molinar and Morris hit 2-run doubles in the first inning. Snyder scored one run in the third.
In the fourth inning, Kerrington Biggers hit a 2-run home run, Montoya had an RBI single and Clark hit a sacrifice fly.
Snyder (9-9) was scheduled to play Fort Stockton at 11:30 a.m. and Hereford at 2:30 p.m. today. The Lady Tigers will conclude the tournament against Shallowater at 11:30 a.m. and Wall at 4 p.m.
