Nine WTC track athletes named all-Americans

Nine Western Texas College athletes were named to the National Junior College Athletic Association all-American indoor track and field team.

Selections were determined by performances at the national meet.

Lady Westerners who earned all-American honors were Deborah Acquah (long jump and triple jump), Britaney Duncan (600-meter run), Abigail Kwarteng (high jump) and Camera Witter (600-meter run).

Westerners named all-Americans were Sean Bailey (400-meter dash), Orwin Emilien (600-meter run), Shiynarine Smalling (60-meter dash), Sean Washington (800-meter run) and Travis Riley (long jump).
