Odessa defeats Westerners in finals

WOLFFORTH — Western Texas College’s magical run ended at the Region V Basketball Tournament, as they lost to Odessa College 94-74 in the men’s championship Saturday.

The Westerners, who finished third in the National Junior College Athletic Conference, finished the season with a 22-10 record.

Odessa led 39-31 at halftime and outscored WTC 55-42 during the second half.

Jordan Evans led the offense with 21 points. Jordan Tolbert and Kolbe Kinghorn each had 11 points. DaQuan Jeffries added nine points.
