Cameron Smith scored on a 6-yard run in overtime to give the Packers an 18-12 win over the Cowboys in the Scurry County Boys and Girls Club fifth/sixth grade football championship game at Tiger Stadium on Saturday.
Smith scored the first touchdown of the game on a 65-yard run. The Cowboys tied the game at 6-6 on Bryce Ford’s 4-yard touchdown run.
The Cowboys took the lead when Ford returned the second half kickoff 60 yards for a touchdown. The Packers tied the game at 12-12 early in the fourth quarter on Cody McCowen’s 17-yard touchdown run. Colton Sands set up the score with an interception.
