ODESSA — Two Snyder Tigers and a relay team claimed first place at the West Texas Relays on Friday.
Tate Kirby, Jose Juarez, Anthony Torres and Zach Deere won the 400-meter relay with a time of 43.51 seconds. Torres was the winner of the 300-meter hurdles with a time of 44.24. Karen Wills cleared 14-0 to win the pole vault.
Kirby, Juarez, Torres and Deere finished second in the 800-meter relay. Deere was second in the 200-meter dash and Trent Cotrell finished second in the shot put.
The Tigers scored 108 points to finish second in the varsity team results. The Snyder JV team was sixth in its division with 41 points.
The Lady Tigers finished fourth with 42 points in the JV girls’ division. Snyder was fifth with 65 points in the varsity division.
Keely Bartels was second in the 100- and 300-meter hurdles.
Results from the JV meet will be published on Tuesday.
The Snyder and varsity girls and boys teams will compete at the Blackland Divide Relays in Roscoe Friday.
