Three players lead Ira boys past Westbrook at home

IRA — Three players scored in double figures in Ira’s 47-25 win over Westbrook in a District 12-1A basketball game Tuesday.
Ira led 12-3 after the first quarter and 20-5 at halftime. The Bulldogs took a 33-17 lead into the fourth quarter.
Brayden Corley finished with 12 points while Ramiro Rios and Emanual Cabrera each scored 11 points.

JV
The Ira JV team defeated Westbrook, 42-30.
Matthew Braziel and Hunter McCowen each scored 10 points. Isaac Cabrera had eight points.

Ira Girls
Madison Peterson and Alyssa Goodwin combined for 39 points in Ira’s 61-49 win over Westbrook.
Ira (20-6, 4-1) led 16-6 after the first quarter and 32-19 at halftime. The Lady Bulldogs increased the lead to 47-32 going into the fourth quarter.
Peterson scored a game-high 20 points. Goodwin had 19 points and Sierra Welch added seven points.
Ira will play at Borden County Friday.

Hermleigh Boys
HERMLEIGH — The Hermleigh Cardinals defeated Highland, 50-30.
Eli Garza finished with 14 points. Chase Carr had seven points and Matt Gonzales added six points.
The Cardinals will play at Loraine Friday.
