SUNDOWN — Three Snyder powerlifters qualified for the Texas High School Powerlifting Coaches Association state meet at the Region 1, Division 2 meet Friday.
Omar Alonzo, Sean Humphrey and Kobe Fahntrapp qualified for the state meeting, which will be held March 23-25
Humphrey won the 275-pound weight class with lifts totaling 1,585 pounds. Alonzo finished second in the 123-pound weight class with lifts totaling 895 pounds while Fahntrapp was second in the super heavyweight class with lifts totaling 1,485 pounds.
Gerardo Cabrera was third in the 181-pound weight class and will be alternate for the state meet. Cabrera lifted a total of 1,010 pounds.
Snyder and Andrews tied for second place in the team standings with 23 points.

220-pound weight class: 6. Alex Jaimes, 1,165 pounds (475 squat, 245 bench press, 445 deadlift).
275-pound weight class: 1. Sean Humphrey, 1,585 pounds (640 squat, 405 bench press, 540 deadlift).
Super heavyweight class: 2. Kobe Fahntrapp, 1,485 pounds (620 squat, 340 bench press, 525 deadlift).
