Four Snyder golfers finished in the top 10 during the first round of the District 5-4A boys’ golf tournament on Monday at the Big Spring Country Club.
As a team, Snyder is second after shooting 349, five shots behind Big Spring, which shot 344. The second round of the tournament is scheduled for Monday at the Sweetwater Country Club and the final round is April 8 at the Hogan Park Golf Course in Midland.
Snyder’s Jax Weaver finished second with an 83, three shots behind Big Spring’s Gabe Cates. Kade Hunter was third at 85 while Kolton Chapman was eighth at 90 and Ryker Byrom was 10th at 91. Zakkery Edwards rounded out Snyder’s team scoring with a 101 and was in 18th place.
Seth Grant finished with a 106 playing as an individual and was in 26th place.
