Undefeated Ira routs Wolves, 22-1

IRA — Ira remained undefeated this baseball season with a 22-1 win over Colorado City in a non-district game Tuesday.

Hunter Cotton and Karson Valentine combined to pitch a 2-hitter while Kade Sanders, Ramiro Rios and Cotton combined for 10 hits and 13 RBIs.

Ira (4-0) scored six runs in the bottom of the first inning. Rios hit a 2-run double while Brayden Corley and Sanders each had RBI singles. In the second inning, Emanual Cabrera hit a 2-run single while Sanders and Rios had RBI singles. 

Leading 11-1 in the third inning, Sanders hit a grand slam while Rios and Cotton added RBI singles.

Anthony Coy and Cotton hit RBI doubles in the fourth inning.

Ira’s next game will be the District 6-2A opener against Borden County at home March 25.
