LUFKIN — The Western Texas College Westerner baseball team defeated Temple College 18-14 in 12 innings and lost to Angelina College 5-4 on Friday.

Denise Mackie, the JV volleyball coach at Frisco High School, was hired as Snyder’s head volleyball coach.

With a 65-64 Western Junior College Athletic Conference win over Howard College Thursday, Western Texas College moved into third place in the conference.
